Tim Hardt

Zionsville Community Schools Board of Trustees, Eagle Township

Tim Hardt grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a Sales Training Manager at ANGI. He attended North Central High School and graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Secondary Education. Tim has held a teaching license and taught at the high school level in the states of Texas, Florida and Indiana. He has taught Spanish, Honors American History and most recently was Director of the English As A Second Language program at North Central High School. During this time he lead a 5-teacher cross-department team coordinating with school administration, District leaders and state legislators resulting in top 3 state-wide ISTEP scores for 5 consecutive cycles.

 

Tim has spent over 25 years in the non-profit sector. He worked as the Director of Development for Junior Achievement of Central Indiana where he managed the boards of directors for Boone, Delaware, Madison, Hamilton and Marion Counties.He was a founding National Board member for the Junior Volleyball Association where he was elected to four consecutive terms and was the liaison to the AAU National Board of Directors and a member of the National Tournament Committee.

He ran Indy Juniors Volleyball Club in Zionsville for 16 years and coached at the high school and club level for 25 years. He has also volunteered and coached with ZYSA and ZYLL for the last 6 years.

Tim has lived in Zionsville for 10 years and is the father of 2 boys who attend Zionsville schools.

Marcus Such

Zionsville Community Schools Board of Trustees, Union Township

Marcus Such (a native Hoosier) lives and works in Zionsville, Indiana. Marcus has been married to his wife, Dawn, for ten years. They have two wonderful children – Andrew (6) and Amelia (3). When not running between gymnastics, soccer practice, and baseball games for his children, he enjoys woodworking in his garage.

After graduating from Carmel High School, Marcus attended Butler University to achieve a Bachelors Degree with Honors in Mathematics and in Actuarial Science.  He also went on to earn his Masters Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance. Through six additional years of study and examination, he is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, as well as a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

 

Marcus has worked in several industries across his career as an Actuary, including healthcare insurance at CNO Financial Group, specialized insurance with Tokio Marine HCC, and healthcare delivery with Everside Health. Throughout his career,  he has led teams and organizations with development of strategy, growth of individuals, fiscal responsibility, and implementation of new initiatives. He enjoys guiding organizations to success and making sure they can be as effective as possible. 

Marcus feels strongly about supporting his community through volunteerism. He has built homes with Habitat for Humanity, distributed forget-me-not seeds for Alzheimer’s awareness, packed food for impoverished nations and served as treasurer for his church. Currently, Marcus is a member of his neighborhood HOA, and has recently begun participating in the Union Elementary Dad’s Club. It has been a great privilege for Marcus to be able to give back to the community in so many ways.

Sarah Sampson

Zionsville Community Schools Board of Trustees, At-Large

Sarah has lived in Zionsville since 2006, with her husband Jon and 10 children. Six of her children have graduated from Zionsville High School and 4 still attend ZCS. She was raised in this area and returned to raise her children here in Zionsville and attend public schools.

Sarah graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Business Administration degree as an accountancy major. She became a CPA and worked as an auditor for the Big Four. Sarah can use this experience to help with financial considerations and decisions on the school board.

Sarah is the ZCHS PTO President and all her children have attended ZCS. Her involvement and knowledge of our schools, teachers and students, make her an asset in decision making on the ZCS Board of Trustees.

Sarah supports PFAS’ values of transparency & accountability, parents’ voices in education and academic excellence. In addition, she plans to champion classes and programs that will allow students to take hands on classes, get off screens and promote mental health.
